POMONA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team look to get back on the winning side of things as they continue their three game home stand, welcoming in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) opponent Cal State East Bay on Thursday night in Kellogg Arena.
Last Week: In their only contest of the week, the Broncos (2-5, 0-3 CCAA) fell to Cal State San Marcos 83-64 at home on Saturday. The Cougars post a shooting percentage of 57 percent from the field, including a 61 percent mark from three-point, hitting 14-of-23 from deep.
Highlights: As a team, CPP ranks eighth in scoring offense with 69.6 points per game but have struggled shooting, holding a shooting percentage of 41 on the year.
Defensively, Pomona owns the second best turnover margin in the CCAA, at plus-3.14, turning over their opponents 116 times in seven games.
Sophomore
Jordan Ogundiran has been the leading force for the Broncos in the early stages of the season. His 16.3 points per game not only lead the team but also rank fifth overall in the conference. Ogundiran also adds 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
Following Ogundiran is
Jeremy Dennis with 11.3 ppg while
Chris Sullivan is averaging 8.7 points and a team high 6.1 rebounds per contest.
