POMONA, Calif. – With only one contest this week, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team will try to recover from last Saturday's loss as they close out their four game road stint at Cal State San Marcos on Thursday.
Last Week: The Broncos split two games last week, defeating Cal State Dominguez Hills 67-60 before stumbling at Cal State Los Angeles in a close match up, 51-48.
Priscilla Brooks averaged nine points and 11.5 rebounds on the weekend.
Quick Hits: The Broncos currently sit in a three-way tie for fourth place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) standings at 5-3 in conference games and 7-7 overall. Thursday's game will see at least one team drop in the standings as San Marcos is also tied at 5-3 along with Cal State East Bay.
CPP moved back into the top defensive spot in the CCAA, giving up only 56.9 points per game which ranks 35 overall in NCAA Division II.
Brooks has totaled 116 rebounds, the second highest total in the conference, while
Chelsea Waddy-Blow ranks 16
th in points scored per game with an average of 11.7.
Dominique Dotson upped her average to 6.3 points per game after totaling 19 points over the weekend while
Jackie Ricketson ranks 10
th in the CCAA in assists at 3.0 per game.
