Volleyball Looks for Season Sweep Over CSU San Bernardino

Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team travels to Cal State San Bernardino as they look for the season sweep in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.

Last Week: The Broncos (9-10, 5-6 CCAA) split their games last weekend, losing to University of California San Diego in four sets and beating Cal State San Marcos in five. Alina Smith directed the offense with a .224 hitting percentage and career-high 56 assists against the Cougars while Kristen Hamlin led the Broncos with 16 kills in the match.
 
By the Numbers: Andrea Bosnic continues to dominate games as she is third in the conference with 198 total kills. As a team, the Broncos average 12.88 kills per set which is fourth in the conference. Smith ranks fourth overall in the CCAA in total assists with 556, averaging 7.41 assists per set.
 
Coyotes Report: The Coyotes look to avenge their lost to the Broncos that knocked them out of the top 25. CSU San Bernardino comes in with an overall record of 12-7 and CCAA record of 8-3. They are second in the southern division and are coming off a big win against U.C. San Diego. The Coyotes offense is loaded as they rank in the top third of nearly every offensive category. Lauren Nicholson leads the conference with 290 total kills.
