POMONA – With a 52-38 defeat of Cal State East Bay, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team earned their fourth consecutive win in the California Collegiate Athletic Association on Saturday night at Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- East Bay jumped out to a quick start, scoring the first eight points of the contest before CPP earned their first basket nearly three minutes into play.
- The Broncos scored five straight before ending the first quarter down by three points, 14-11.
- With a fast break layup by Priscilla Brooks with just over five minutes to go in the first half, CPP took their first lead of the night 17-16
- CPP's defense held strong, holding the Pioneers to a shooting mark of 25 percent from the field while earning a field goal percentage of 35 percent.
- The Broncos took their first double-digit lead of the night with just over three minutes to play in the third quarter, winning 36-25.
- CPP sealed the victory in the fourth quarter, taking their biggest lead at 48-32 with 2:08 on the clock.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Jackie Ricketson led the Broncos in points and rebounds, recording 13 points and eight rebounds against the Pioneers.
- Adaora Obi scored her highest of the season with 10 points while Brooks added 10 points of her own.
- Others contributing on the night were Casey McWilliam with eight points and seven rebounds and Alyssa Benton who finished with five points, four rebounds and two steals.
OUTSIDE THE BOX:
- CPP's four straight wins is the longest regular season win streak in conference play since the 2014-15 campaign.
- The defense of the Broncos continues to be stellar, holding both opponents this weekend to under 40 points as they remain the top ranked defense in the CCAA.
- Ricketson has now scored double-digits in nine of the 12 games this season, averaging 9.8 points so far.
- Saturday's win ended a two-game losing streak to the Pioneers, including last year's CCAA Semifinal matchup.
