Cal Poly Pomona Athletics has announced a new event, BRONCOMANIA, to be held on Sunday, April 23 in Kellogg Arena. The event, which will begin at 4:30 p.m.  will highlight each of the Bronco teams and celebrate the selection of the Fans of the Year for all ten sports.  
 
"We wanted to do something different and special to acknowledge the loyalty and dedication of our fans to each of our sports," stated Director of Athletics Brian Swanson. "Bronco Athletics is more than the teams which compete, it is also about our loyal fans who show up at home and on the road to support our sports."
 
BRONCOMANIA will include a social hour with opportunity for guests to meet and visit with the Cal Poly Pomona head coaches and their staffs. The social hour will include hors d'oeuvres and be followed by dinner. Silent auction tables will be open during the social hour. Following dinner will be the recognition of the Fan of the Year Awards. The event will conclude with a live auction of premium items which will be listed on the Cal Poly Pomona athletic website beginning April 10.
 
Proceeds from this event benefit the athletic scholarship fund and have a direct benefit to each sport for items sold during the auction which were donated or purchased by alumni, parents or friends of the sport.
 
Costs for an individual ticket for BRONCOMANIA is $45, which includes the social hour, dinner and admission to the event. A table of eight can be purchased for $325. BRONCOMANIA kicks off a two-day fundraising effort by the athletic department with the 38^th Annual Bronco Golf Classic to be held on Monday, April 24 at the Friendly Hills Country Club in Whittier. Information and registration for the golf tournament can be found at www.broncoathletics.com .
