In the opening set, CPP was red hot on offense, hitting at a .410 clip with 18 kills in 39 attacks with two errors en route to the 25-21 win to set the tone for the match. Not only was the offense clicking, but the defense was stellar as well, led by

The frame featured nine ties and two lead changes, one of the ties came at 24-24 when CPP rallied from two points down to stave off set point by SFSU, but the Gators got a kill from Drew Morris and an ace by Vanessa Ditz to even the match at 1-1.
The third and fourth sets were all Cal Poly Pomona, which hit .357 in the final two sets combined while holding SF State to just .120, winning both by the scores of 25-16.
