TURLOCK, Calif. -- Despite winning the first set in convincing fashion, the No. 17 Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss (18-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-19) to No. 1 Cal State San Bernardino Saturday night in the 2018 CCAA Volleyball Championship Tournament final at Fitzpatrick Arena in Turlock.
The Broncos fall to 23-5, but should earn an at-large bid into the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship Tournament, which is scheduled to be announced via a live selection show on NCAA.com Sunday at 7:00 pm Pacific Time. The Coyotes (26-2) capture their third straight CCAA Tournament title and secure the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
