TURLOCK – The Cal Poly Pomona baseball earned a series victory over Stanislaus State, winning game four in comeback fashion with a five-run ninth inning to defeat the Warriors 6-4 on the road on Sunday.

GAME SUMMARY:
- After two scoreless innings to begin the contest, Stanislaus State jumped ahead in the third inning with two runs, one coming off a fielder's choice and the other on a groundout to first base.
- The Warriors added to their lead in the fourth, grounding out into a double play while allowing one runner to come home to go up 3-0.
- As CPP's offense struggled throughout the game, having only one hit through the first six innings, the Broncos finally got on the board in the seventh inning as Alex Kline singled to score Brennan McKenzie to cut the lead to 3-1.
- Stanislaus added to their lead in the eighth, hitting an RBI double to left field to take a 4-1 advantage heading into the final inning.
- CPP still had some fight left, as Nic Hernandez singled to begin the inning before back-to-back walks loaded the bases with no outs.
- The first run of the ninth came off the bat of Bryce Graddy, who reached base on a fielder's choice to score Sean Grebeck.
- With one out to go, the Broncos loaded the bases once again as Matt Manskar hit a bases-clearing double to left center, giving the Broncos a 5-4 lead. He later scored on a throwing error to give the Broncos a 6-4 lead.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Manskar and Martin each finished with two hits in the contest while Manskar led the Broncos with three RBIs and a run scored.
- Also earning RBIs were Kline and Graddy while Hernandez and Jacob Bernardy recorded the other hits for the Broncos.
- Picking up his first win of the season was Anthony Mizrahi who pitched two innings of relief, giving up one unearned run off of three hits with two strikeouts. The save was earned by Michael Gomez who tossed one inning with no hits and a strikeout.
- Also pitching in relief was Ben Mora who allowed zero hits through three innings with one strikeout.
