Broncos Outlast Falcons Saturday In Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Riley Schaefer poured in 19 points and added a team-high five rebounds and William Christmas added 16 points as the Cal Poly Pomoma men's basketball team notched its first win of the season, a 64-58 triumph over host Seattle Pacific at the Sodexo Classic at Brougham Pavilion in Seattle, Wash.

The Broncos rise to 1-1 on the year while the Falcons go to 0-2.

CPP led for less than seven minutes in the contest, taking just its second lead of the game (and the lead for good) on a made jumper by Justin Young with 6:17 to play in regulation.

Young also finished in double-figures, dropping in 10 points while BJ Standley added nine.

Cal Poly Pomona will head even further north for a Tuesday night showdown with Western Washington, which starts at 7:00 pm.
