Broncos Tie Warriors 1-1

TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos traveled to Turlock to compete against the Stanislaus State Warriors. The Broncos were first to score, but the Warriors responded in the last minutes of the match with a goal to tie the game.
 
Defender Pele Martinez score the first goal of the match in the 36th minute as he was found by Forward Paul Roger Henschke for the assist. In the 84th minute the Warriors scored the final goal of the match to close the game with a 1-1 tie.
 
Leading the Broncos in shots was Henschke who took seven shots with three shots on goal. Midfielder Max Laguna took five shots on the game with one shot on target for a shot on goal.
 
Midfielder Oscar Griehsel Facey collected three shots on the game and had one shot on goal. Goalkeeper CJ Walker tallied three saves on the game.
 
The Broncos have clinched a playoff spot and are looking to improve their CCAA ranking heading into the post season. CPP's next match is this Thursday, October 27th at Kellogg Stadium against Cal State LA with kick off set for 2:00 pm.
