Four Broncos Improve Marks In Last Chance At APU

AZUSA, Calif. – Four Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field student-athletes set personal records this weekend at the APU Last Chance Meet.
 
Aaron May took first in the Hammer with a throw of 54.48 meters, besting his previous mark by nearly a half-meter. Matteo Madrassi, the CCAA Pole Vault champion, took first in the Pole Vault and improved his mark by getting over the 5.08 meter bar. Alejandro Sandoval Guzman finished fifth in the Shot Put with a personal-record of 16.16 meters. Joshua Johnson scored an 11th place finish in the 100 meter Dash in a time of 10.58, edging his personal-best by 0.02 seconds.
 
It was the final chance for the Broncos to improve their marks as the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championship selections will be announced on Tuesday.  Nationals are set for May 26-28 in Allendale, Mich.
