POMONA, Calif. - In an exciting matchup, the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos faced off against the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters, resulting in a hard-fought 2-2 tie that showcased both teams' resilience. The Otters struck first, finding the back of the net at 24:07, putting early pressure on the Broncos. They doubled their lead with another goal in the 81st minute, leaving the Broncos in a tough position.
However, the Broncos demonstrated their fighting spirit. In the 69th minute, senior Alexis Macias scored a crucial goal. With time running out, the Broncos rallied, and in a dramatic finish, the team collectively scored in the 88th minute, sealing the tie and securing a vital point in their second conference match of the season.
This match was particularly special as the Broncos celebrated eight remarkable seniors: Bella Hara, Kat Aguayo, Tara Oper, Bella Anderson, Melanie Harradine, Alexis Macias, Jaclyn Cuevas, and Auburn Burnett.
