Women's Soccer Headed to NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – For the sixth time in program history, the Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team will compete in the NCAA tournament. With a 17-1-2 overall record, the Broncos secured the No. 1 seed in the region. Based on this seeding, they will be the host of rounds one and two.
 
The seven teams will be split into two locations, hosted by both the No. 1 seed Cal Poly Pomona and the No. 2 seed Point Loma. The Pomona regional will consist of Azusa Pacific and Western Washington, while the San Diego regional will include Point Loma, Simon Fraser, Hawaii Hilo, and Concordia. The First Round will take place on Thursday, November 21st. The winner of each match will advance to the Second Round that will take place at the same locations on Saturday, November 23rd.
 
The winner from each host site will advance to Third Round which will take place on Sunday, December 1st to determine a regional champion that will advance to the semifinals in Matthews, North Carolina. This will be the first time the Broncos have advanced to the NCAA Postseason since 2019.
 
Game Preview
The Broncos automatically advance to the Second Round of the tournament. Azusa Pacific and Western Washington will participate in the First Round on Thursday, November 21st at 1:00 PM PST. The winner of this match will play Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday, November 23rd at 1:00 PM PST. Both games will be played at Kellogg Stadium on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona.
 
Should they win this match, they will advance to round three to play the winner of the San Diego regional. If they lose this match, the Broncos will be eliminated from the tournament.
