Pomona, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona women's volleyball team was ranked number two in the CCAA preseason poll, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The Broncos have now been ranked in the Top 3 of the CCAA preseason poll in each of the past three consecutive seasons.

"This preseason ranking is an indication that our opponents will not be overlooking the Broncos this season," said head coach Traci Dahl. "Our coaching staff, and team, are excited to begin competition and continue making history."

Reigning Division II national champions Cal State LA took the top spot, capturing 142 points and 10 of the 12 first-place votes. The Broncos were the only other team to receive first-place votes, with the remaining two. CPP had a total of 125 points, narrowly beating out Cal State San Bernardino (122) for second place.

All-CCAA honorees Madison Novak and Avery Percival, as well as Campion and Mueller, will also return for their senior campaign. The Broncos will open the season with four matches at the Yotes Classic Showcase starting September 5th, followed by three matches at the Central Washington Tournament starting on September 12th. The CCAA opener against Cal State San Bernardino will double as their home opener, taking place at 5:00 PM on Friday, September 20th. To view the full 2024 schedule, click HERE.
