HAYWARD, Calif. – Senior
Breanne Ha made history on Thursday night, breaking the Cal Poly Pomona all-time three-point record with her 216
th career three. The previous record of 215 had been held by Anna James (1999-03) for over 23 years, while Ha is also only the second player in school history, men or women, to make over 200 treys while wearing the Green & Gold. Now, Ha has officially cemented herself as the greatest three-point shooter in school history.
The record-breaking shot came early in the first quarter at the 7:22 mark, as teammate
Kalaya Buggs handed off the ball to Ha and provided a nonchalant screen, giving Ha just enough of an opening to drain a deep three. It was Ha's 45
th of the season, as she continues to lead the CCAA in three-point field goals made as well as three's made per game (2.6) – each ranking Top 30 in the nation as well.

The 81-58 victory was the No. 16 ranked Broncos' 15
th win of the season, as they remain in second place in the CCAA standings behind an undefeated Cal State Dominguez Hills (19-0). With Chico State's loss, the Broncos now have a two game lead over the third place Wildcats as they have officially reached the halfway point in conference play.
Cal Poly Pomona came out strong, building a 19-11 lead after the first quarter thanks to efficient scoring and strong defense.
Cookie Marques set the tone early with her ability to score inside and out, finishing the game with a team-high 22 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including leading the team with three from deep.
Sydney Nelson was unstoppable inside the paint, scoring 20 points and going 10-for-12 from the field for her 15
th consecutive game reaching double figures.
By halftime, the Broncos had stretched their lead to 39-25. Their defense limited the Pioneers to just 22 percent shooting in the second quarter, while their aggressive offense capitalized at the free-throw line, going 9-for-10 in the period.
The Broncos exploded in the third quarter, outscoring the Pioneers 27-10. Their shooting was the best of the game at 61 percent from the floor, with Marques and
Brielle Minor (15 points off the bench) spearheading the attack. Cal Poly Pomona's defense also clamped down, holding Cal State East Bay to 29 percent shooting and forcing turnovers that led to 28 points off miscues throughout the game.
The Pioneers showed signs of life in the fourth quarter, scoring 23 points behind the efforts of Sierra Morris, who led her team with 19 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Despite their late push, the Pioneers were unable to overcome the deficit, as the Broncos' depth and defensive effort kept the game out of reach.
The win was head coach
Danelle Bishop's 200
th CCAA win of her Cal Poly Pomona career, making her just the second coach in CCAA history to surpass the 200-conference win mark. With three more conference wins, she will have the most in the history of the conference.
