SAN FRANCISCO - The Broncos struggled to keep pace with the Gators in their latest matchup, ultimately falling 67-48 after a hard-fought battle. The game started with the Broncos holding a slight lead over the Gators, managing to stay ahead for the first 14 minutes of play. However, both teams were closely matched throughout the first half, and the Gators took a slim 32-26 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Gators came out with more intensity, outscoring the Broncos 35-22. It wasn't until seven minutes into the second half that the Broncos were able to score, by which point the Gators had nearly doubled their score. Despite the deficit, the Broncos continued to fight for points, but the Gators' strong defensive play and scoring run proved too much to overcome.
Miles Lewis led the Broncos with 10 points, followed closely by
Caleb Nelson with nine.
Kevin Simeth was also a standout on the boards, grabbing seven rebounds in the loss.
