POMONA, Calif. – Cal Poly Pomona volleyball won their second consecutive CCAA Title on Friday afternoon, sweeping Chico State (25-19, 26-24, 27-25) to improve to a perfect 15-0 in conference play. With a three-match lead over Cal State LA and Cal State San Bernardino and only three matches remaining in the regular season, the win secured the program's third title under Head Coach
Traci Dahl, and fifth CCAA title overall. They previously won the regular season in 1990, 2005, and 2024, to go along with a tournament title in 2022.

The Broncos also secured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CCAA Tournament with the win over the Wildcats, as they hold the tiebreaker over both Cal State LA and San Bernardino. This means they will advance directly to the tournament semifinals on Friday, November 21
st in Turlock.

The Broncos' young core shined in the win over Chico State, seeing redshirt freshman
Elle Walker lead the attack with a match-high 15 kills on a red-hot .393 hitting percentage.
Charlotte Koerber added 12 kills and 10 digs, her ninth double-double of the season, while freshman
Addi Knight tallied a career-high nine kills. Fellow freshmen
Kacie Caoili spread the ball around the court, logging 39 assists and chipped in seven digs and a service ace.

Kaden Young added 20 digs, while middle blockers
Anastacia Garza and
Alexia Athans combined for 11 kills and six blocks at the net.

Cal Poly Pomona set the tone early, taking the opening set 25-19 behind a 7-1 surge that included back-to-back service aces from
Renee Nachtigall and strong net play by Athans and Garza. The Broncos' first-set attack was nearly unstoppable, hitting .394 while holding Chico State to .233.

In the second set, CPP faced its toughest challenge as the Wildcats clawed back to tie the frame at 22-all. The two teams then traded points, before back-to-back kills by Walker sealed the 26-24 win.

The Broncos never quit in the third set, going on an 8-3 run to close out the match. After trailing 19-22, CPP stormed back with kills from Knight and Koerber. Koerber's ace gave CPP match point, and Walker's block alongside Garza closed the contest 27-25 to complete the sweep and clinch the program's fifth conference title.
