Cal Poly Pomona's Dylan Esquival added to his list of accolades by being selected as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) as the West Region Pitcher of the Week.
 
Esquival threw a complete game shutout in the seven-inning game of Saturday's doubleheader against No. 15 Cal State Monterey Bay. The junior left-hander gave up six hits and one walk and struck out six against the defending CCAA champions in his best career start. After giving up two hits in the first inning, he retired nine consecutive batters. He is one of only two CCAA student-athletes to record a complete game this season.

He is the second CCAA Pitcher of earn the regional honor in 2025 (Evan Tomlinson, Chico State, Feb. 2).
