POMONA, Calif. – Bronco senior catcher
Johnny Pappas added to his lengthy CPP resume on Monday, being named to both the NCBWA and D2CCA All-West Region First Teams. He received the same recognition following the 2024 season, and also earned All-Region honors as a redshirt freshman in 2022.
Â
Pappas had a memorable senior campaign, inserting his name into the Top 10 of just about every single category in the Bronco baseball record book. In 2025, the catcher/outfielder was the only player to start, or play, in all 49 games, batting .344 with 67 hits, 16 doubles, five home runs, 23 RBI, and 43 runs scored.
Â
He also posted a .988 fielding percentage, as his career .995 ranks second-best in school history. On the conference level, Pappas ranked Top 10 in doubles, at-bats, and hit by pitches this season. The Bronco catcher also had a 16-game hitting streak in the latter half of the season, the 11th-longest in program history.
