POMONA, Calif. - Cal Poly Pomona Athletics has announced the return of
Jenny Miller as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance, effective January 2026, welcoming back a familiar and respected leader to the Bronco Athletics Department.
Miller returns to Cal Poly Pomona after previously serving in the same role from 2014 to 2021, bringing more than a decade of intercollegiate athletics compliance experience at both the Division I and Division II levels.
"Returning to Cal Poly Pomona feels like a homecoming," Miller said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our student-athletes and coaches by providing clear guidance, education, and advocacy within the NCAA framework, while reinforcing a culture of integrity across the department."
In her role with the Broncos, Miller provides comprehensive compliance oversight for departmental, university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Her responsibilities also include eligibility oversight for student-athlete practice and competition.
Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Brian Swanson expressed enthusiasm about Miller's return.
"We are thrilled to welcome back
Jenny Miller to Team Broncos," Swanson said. "Jenny is a highly skilled professional who served our campus from 2014-2021 with distinction and exemplarily student-athlete service. Her knowledge of Cal Poly Pomona, the CSU, and the NCAA are highly valuable in today's ever-changing climate of intercollegiate athletics. Jenny's passion for supporting the student-athlete experience is a welcome addition to our department and in moving our sports forward."
Prior to her return to CPP, Miller served in a similar role at San Jose State in 2021, and was most recently a teacher at St. John Bosco High School.
Miller served as Director of Compliance at UC Riverside from 2011-2014, where she developed and coordinated a comprehensive athletics compliance program. Her work included creating a rules education plan and delivering NCAA and Big West Conference education sessions for coaches, student-athletes, staff, and campus stakeholders.
Miller's career also includes compliance roles at UC Irvine (2009–2011) and San José State (2005–2009). A former student-athlete, she earned her bachelor's degree from Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt), where she competed in cross country and track and field before serving as an assistant cross country coach and compliance assistant. Before that, she attended College of the Sequoias in her hometown of Visalia, Calif., where she also competed in cross country and track and field.
Miller completed graduate coursework at San José State University in 2008 and is a graduate of the NACWAA/HERS Institute for Administrative Advancement.
