Head Coach Greg Kamansky enters his 26th season at the helm of the Broncos and his 27th year with the program. His staff includes Associate Head Coach Damion Hill, who begins his 25th season with CPP and 15th in his current role, first-year Assistant Coach Mason Holle, and first-year volunteer assistant coaches Zach Broadus and Nick Weis.

Kamansky, the winningest coach in CPP men's basketball history, who has taken the Broncos to 14 NCAA Tournaments, captured eight CCAA Championships, four West Region Championships, two National Final appearances, and won the 2010 Division II National Championship is hopeful about the Broncos' potential to make a deep run, and is encouraged by the team's attitude heading into a challenging schedule.

The Broncos return a strong core led by Asher Schroeder, Jake Goldberg, Edric Dennis and Michael Saba. CPP also welcomes transfers Dorian Tate, Jhace Boston and Henri Mennander, along with CCAA transfers JJ Mitchell from Cal State Dominguez Hills and Caden Flowers from San Francisco State.
Goldberg averaged 8.3 points per game and 20 minutes on the court last season, starting 25 of CPP's 28 contests. He finished the year with 231 points, 52 rebounds, 24 assists and 16 steals.

Before joining the Broncos, Boston was a standout at the University of Redlands, earning All-SCIAC Second Team honors and helping the Bulldogs advance to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight, while Mennander was the Queens College Men's Basketball Rookie of the Year.

Kamansky notes that the Broncos have some uncertainty in the backcourt after losing All-CCAA honorees Malcolm Bell and Demarreya Lewis-Cooper from last season's squad. However, he believes the team's depth on the wings and strength along the front line will be key advantages this season.

When asked about the projected standings, Kamansky emphasized the importance of a complete team effort.

"Our success this year will come down to the team as a whole," he said. "It won't be a one- or two-player show; everyone will need to contribute."

CPP opens the 2026 season at the CCAA/GNAC Challenge in Chico, facing Seattle Pacific on Friday, November 13, at 3 PM. The Broncos will host Hawai'i Pacific in their home opener on Friday, November 20, at 7 PM.
