SAN MARCOS, Calif. - Cal Poly Pomona women's cross country placed ninth at the 2026 Cougar Challenge at Mangrum Track & Field, totaling 194 points in the 6K race.
Freshman
Jubilee Cisneros led the Broncos, finishing 32nd overall in 22:32.2. Cisneros ran 5:47.5 at the one-mile split, reached two miles in 11:55.3, and covered the final segment in 1:26.3 after the fifth split at 21:05.9.
Ava Holtzen followed in 34th place at 22:40.4. Holtzen recorded nearly identical early splits to Cisneros, crossing the one-mile mark in 5:47.4 and two miles in 11:58.3 before finishing with a 1:27.7 final segment.
Natalie Conde placed 49th in 23:07.1, while
Brianna Richards finished 60th in 23:27.0.
Clara Mackison completed the Broncos' scoring five in 76th place at 24:01.8.
Emily Conde and
Emily Howard finished in 78th and 79th, respectively, with times of 24:06.5 and 24:06.8, while
Emily Cuevas placed 86th in 24:23.6.
Cassidy Misuraca also competed but did not finish.
The result comes one year after Cal Poly Pomona won the 2025 Cougar Challenge with 33 points at the same venue. The Broncos' 2025 performance included three runners whose times appear among the top 25 in the program's all-time 6K record book, led by
Vivian Martinez's 21:23.5.
Cisneros' 22:32.2 was the fastest CPP performance of the day, though it did not move into the record book's top 25 overall 6K performances, which currently extend to 21:28.7. Cal Poly Pomona's effort on Saturday included a 23:09 team average.

- This was the 6th time the team had raced on the campus of Cal State San Marcos. In that time, they have beaten 46 of the 71 teams they've raced against.
- Jubilee Cisneros and Emily Cuevas both set personal bests in the 6K on Saturday.
