SAN MARCOS, Calif. – For the second straight year, Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field place second at the CCAA Championships. The Broncos finished with 188.5 points, finishing 80 points higher than the next closest school.

The Broncos were led by a championship effort in the 4x400 relay, where Konnor Handy, Ekene Onwaeze, Jordan Crowdus, and Khalil Watson combined for a first-place finish in 3:11.87, an NCAA Division II qualifying mark and the seventh-fastest time in school history.

In the field, Darius Hill captured the conference title in the high jump, clearing 2.05 meters to secure maximum points. Ricardo Vargas added a pair of runner-up finishes in the 1,500 and 5,000 meters, leading a deep distance group that contributed over a quarter of CPP's total points.

On the track, the Broncos showcased depth in the sprints and hurdles. Ekene Onwaeze and Jayden Newkirk both scored in the 100 meters, while Khalil Watson and Konnor Handy contributed points in the 400. The hurdles group, led by Harry Chen, Luke Amico, and Keegan Schmidt, placed three athletes in the 110 hurdles final.

Additional podium finishes came from Trajan Cephas in the 800 meters and John Dvorak in the javelin. In total, the Broncos had five CCAA Champions and 19 All-CCAA honorees, while reaching three NCAA provisional qualifying marks and entering the record book twice.
