CLEVELAND - Cal Poly Pomona had 84 student-athletes earn the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Award from the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA), it was announced earlier this month.
 
Of the 12 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) institutions, eight had recipients totaling 570 across the conference. Overall, more than 21,000 student-athletes from 179 institutions were recognized for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards. This year's awards mark the 19th year of the program, which recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level in NCAA championship-sponsored sports. Historically, 211,256 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.
 
Criteria includes a requirement for the athletics director to be a current dues-paying member of the D2 ADA, and for student-athletes to have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college. Student-athletes must also have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
