SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Miranda Palacios captured the individual title and Cal Poly Pomona placed five runners in the top 10 to win the Coyote Challenge on Saturday morning.
 
The Broncos finished atop the 14-team field with 27 points, placing all five scorers among the first 10 finishers. CPP's scoring contingent combined for a time of 1:47:18 and averaged 21:27 over the six-kilometer course.
 
Palacios led the field from start to finish, completing the course in a personal-best 21:13.9. Her performance was the 11th-fastest 6K time in program history and improved upon her previous best of 21:15.6, recorded at the 2025 NCAA West Regional.
 
The victory made Palacios the sixth different individual meet champion in the program's recorded history. She also became the second consecutive Bronco to claim the Coyote Challenge individual crown after Jade Kingston won the five-kilometer race in 2024.
 
Chloe Alchin followed in third place with a personal-best time of 21:24.2, cutting more than 13 seconds from her previous best. Her mark tied for the 21st-fastest 6K performance in program history.
 
Galilea Jimenez crossed the line in sixth at 21:30.7, with Kingston finishing one place behind in 21:31.9. Ali Holtzen completed the Broncos' scoring five, placing 10th in 21:37.4. Just 23.5 seconds separated CPP's first and fifth finishers.
 
Lizeth DePaz placed 24th in 21:53.1, while Emily Conde followed in 31st at 22:05.7.
 
The team championship was CPP's second consecutive Coyote Challenge title and its third victory at a Coyote-named meet in San Bernardino. The Broncos also won the 2014 Coyote Classic with 27 points - the same score they recorded Saturday.
