2008: Appeared in 14 games with 12 starts... Sustained a broken arm in September and missed four games... Finished second in goals scored (3) and third in points (7)... In second game after the injury, scored twice in the 4-0 win at Cal State Stanislaus... Scored in the 2-1 loss at Cal State L.A.... Picked  up season's lone assist in the 2-0 win at home against San Francisco State.
2007: Appeared in all 16 games with 12 starts… Earned honorable mention all-CCAA honors… Led team in goals (5), points (12) and shots (34)… Broncos went 3-1-1 in games Abascal scored… Scored game’s only goal in shut-out victory over UC San Diego (9/9)… Scored eventual game-winner in 2-1 victory over Chico State (9/23)… Earned a pair of assists.
2006: Appeared in 17 games with 15 starts… Scored once and one assist… Scored Broncos’ only goal in a 2-1 loss at Cal State L.A. (Oct. 20)… Second on team in shots on goal with 15.
2005: Redshirt.
At American School of Guatemala: Earned extensive playing experience on Guatemalan national teams… Member of the Guatemala under-20 national pool… Played on the under-17 national team.
Personal: Son of Carlos and Maria Emilia Abasca… Agribusiness management major… Enjoys all sports… Competing for the U17 National Team and in the AASCA high school soccer tournament are his most exciting sports experiences.
