At Cal State Fullerton (2007-09): Appeared in 10 games and threw 12 innings for the College World Series-bound Titans... Posted a 0-0 record with a 5.25 ERA... As a sophomore, made 19 appearances... Went 1-1 with a 3.68 ERA in 41.1 innings... Struck out 24 with 19 walks... As a freshman, threw seven innings in five apperances for the CWS entrant... Did not have a decision.
At Los Osos HS: Lettered three years... Named All-Baseline League first team as a sophomore, going 6-6 on the mound with a 2.75 ERA ... Had his best season as a junior posting a 10-2 record and a 1.71 ERA for the Grizzlies, striking out 93 in 73 innings in 2005... Named to the first-team All-CIF, All-Baseline League, All-Inland  Valley and all-county teams in 2005... Was 4-0 with a 1.21 ERA as a senior in 2006... Lettered three years as a linebacker on the Grizzlies football team.
