Biography

As a Senior in 2013: Appeared in four games and pitched 11.1 innings before suffering a season-ending injury... Received the medical redshirt designation.

As a Junior in 2012: After a productive season in 2012, he was selected as an All-West Region Second Team honoree in all three award announcements: American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings, Daktronics and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA)... Went undefeated as a junior with a 7-0 record, ranking third in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) for wins... He also threw the second-most innings among conference pitchers with 94... Through that workload, he carried an ERA of 2.49 while holding opposing hitters to a .229 average... Threw a complete-game shutout in his final appearance of the season, a 5-0 road win for the Broncos at Cal State East Bay... Also selected to the All-CCAA First Team after being featured as an Honorable Mention pick in 2011.

As a Sophomore in 2011: One of the top Bronco arms in the 2011 season, he tallied the second-most innings on the team with 86.1... Finished with the fourth-lowest earned run average at 3.34 while going 5-3 in 17 appearances en route to receiving All-CCAA Honorable Mention accolades... Put together his best performances on May 21 at the West Region tournament... He worked out of a bases loaded no-out situation against Sonoma State in the top of the ninth with two groundouts and a fly out to keep the score at 4-4, helping the Broncos advance to the regional championship... Earlier on that same day, he recorded a save against UC San Diego to eliminate the Tritons from the postseason... Turned in a big-time effort on May 5 against Cal State L.A. to earn CCAA Pitcher of the Week... With the Broncos seeking a win to enhance their chances of earning a berth into the conference tournaemnt, he hurled a complete-game three-hit shutout against the Golden Eagles.

As a Freshman in 2010: Totaled 34.1 innings during his debut season with the Broncos... Allowed just 12 walks through his freshman campaign but surrendered 50 hits and ended up with a 6.82 earned run average... Threw his best in two-out situations, holding hitters to a .289 batting average in those spots... Made strong start on road March 7 at Chico State, allowing three earned runs in 5.1 innings during narrow 7-5 CPP victory... Put together strong summer session while competing for the Urban Youth Academy squad and named to the California Collegiate All-Star Team for his stellar pitching performances.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Northview High Scool, where he was a four-year letterwinner... Went 9-1 with a 1.60 ERA as a senior... Named first-team All-Valley Vista and second-team all-CIF as a senior... Named team MVP as a sophomore... Earned Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman... Competed in the 2007 U.S. Junior Olympics in Arizona.
