Biography
As a Junior in 2012: In her first season competing at Cal Poly, she recorded a mark of 10-2 on April 1 at the Claremont Colleges… Earned a spot on the CCAA All-Academic Team maintaining a grade point average above 3.40 through the 2011-2012 school year.
At Sacramento City College: Set a new personal best in the pole vault with a mark of 3.08 meters at the Big 8 Conference Championships... Also a member of the school's top 4x100 relay team that raced to a time of 49.33 at the Woody Wilson Classic.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Monterey Trail High School... Three-sport athlete for three years... Selected as MVP for both cross country and golf... Runner-up for school's Female Athlete of the Year in 2008.
Personal: Daughter of Youron Knighton and Carmelita Brown... Kinesiology major... Favorite professional team is the Chicago Bulls… Enjoys swimming and camping in her free time... Favorite athlete is Sergey Bubka... Aspires to become a personal trainer to help people strive toward a healthier and longer life.
