In 2013 Track and Field: Competed in four different events in the 2013 season... Turned in the team’s top 3,000-meter with a mark of 8:38.56 on April 6 at Cal State LA... He recorded a team best of 14:26.36 in the 5,000 meter race on April 19 at Mt. SAC... Carrell also finished the season with a top mark in the 10,000 meter race with a time of 31:00.68 on May 3 at the Cal State Stanislaus meet.
In 2012 Cross Country: Finished 65th overall at the NCAA Division II National Championships as he traversed the 10,000-meter course in a time of 30:53.9, becoming just the seventh runner in
program history to record a 10K time under 31 minutes... Atop that short list are select Broncos' cross country greats, such as Stephane Franke,
Tony Reyes and Matt Blaty... His 30:53.9 mark is the first sub-31 time recorded by a Bronco since 1990... At the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships in La Jolla, he finished ninth to receive All-CCAA accolades for the third-straight year. He then took seventh at the
West Region Championships in Hawaii to earn All-West Region honors for the second-consecutive season.
In 2012 Track and Field: As a junior, Carrell competed in the 10,000-meter race at Cal State L.A, posting his best time of 35:45.26.
In 2011 Cross Country: Steady leader of the Broncos' cross country team, finishing the season with an 18th-place finish of 31:44.0 across 10,000 meters in Spokane, Wash., to earn All-West Region honors... Placed fifth individually at the CCAA Championships in Santa Rosa to receive All-CCAA selection... Turned in his top 8,000-meter mark of the season at UC Riverside, crossing the line in 24:28.3.
In 2011 Track & Field: At the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships in Turlock, he finished eighth in both the 1,500- and 5,000-meter races with times of 4:10.31and 15:16.07... Raced team's top 5,000-meter mark of season at 14:36.20 on March 25.
In 2010 Cross Country: Finished as the Broncos' top runner, leading CPP to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Division II West Regional, with the team narrowly missing a spot at nationals... Posted top 8,000-meter time of 24:58.0 to place fifth at the CCAA Championships in Whittier, Calif.
In 2010 Track & Field: Put together top performance in the 1,500-meter event, registering a time of 4:07.56 on March 20 at the Trojan Invitational in Los Angeles... Also posted the team's third-best 5,000-meter mark at 15:16.31on March 6 in Turlock.
In 2009 Cross Country: Competed in two just events for CPP and was later granted a medical redshirt... Finished 23rd at season-opening Cal State Fullerton race where he ran 26:52 over 8.000 m.... Placed 163rd at UC Riverside (27:10.4 over 8,000 m).
High School: A graduate of La Quinta High School, where he competed in both track and cross country… Recorded personal bests of 4:24 in the 1600 and 9:34 in the 3200.
