Jenzen Torres

Jenzen Torres, the program's all-time home run leader, enters his 13th season (14th year) as a member of the CPP baseball coaching staff in 2026, and fifth season as the associate head coach. Torres currently serves as the pitching coach, catching coach, and recruiting coordinator. He also served as the hitting coach from 2013 to 2016.

In Torres' 13 seasons on staff, the Broncos own an overall record of 364-259, good for a .584 winning percentage. He has also recruited and coached multiple All-Americans, including David Armendariz, Ryan Olson, Kyle Garlick, Michael Koval, Will Rudy, and Caleb Reyes. Since 2020, the Cal Poly Pomona pitching staff ranks first in the CCAA with a 4.54 team ERA, while never ranking below second in each of those four seasons. In that span, they also rank second in total strikeouts and first in strikeouts per nine innings.

Torres has coached 18 players that have gone on to play in MiLB or MLB, 15 of whom were drafted out of CPP. In the summer of 2015, Torres coached the Cape Cod League Champions, the YD Red Sox, as an assistant under head coach Scott Pickler.

The Valencia, California, native was a three-time All-West Region selection as a four-year starter for Cal Poly Pomona from 2009 to 2012 and is the program's all-time home run leader, blasting 34 long balls in 199 career games. A career .300 hitter (209 hits in 697 at bats), he is also No. 2 all-time with 169 runs batted in. After his CPP playing career, Torres played a summer of professional baseball with the Hawaii Stars of the North American Baseball League (NAL).

Torres graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in June 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology while finishing as a three-time Dean's List honoree. He has since earned his Master's Degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University in 2015.
