Also earned selection to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-West Region Second Team and the All-CCAA Second Team... Racked up the sixth-most strikeouts in the conference at 74... Totaled a career-high 10 strikeouts against Sonoma State on March 5... Threw a complete-game nine-inning performance on April 9 at San Francisco State, scattering five hits and striking out four hitters... Recorded six starts of seven or more innings.
As a Sophomore in 2010: Totaled 27.2 innings before season-ending injury which brought about redshirt designation... Began year with three solid starts at home, allowing just six earned runs in first 20 innings pitched... That stretch included seven shutout innings against 18th-ranked Western Oregon on Feb. 9, as he struck out six and scattered four hits... While giving up just two walks in those opening 20 innings, he surrended five bases on balls in his final 7.2 frames during road losses to Cal State Dominguez Hills and Chico State... Finished season with 5.86 earned run average and 2-3 record.
