Biography

As a Sophomore in 2013: Fared well at the plate in limited duty during his sophomore season... Collected seven hits in 19 at-bats for a .368 average... During the April 10 non-conference game against Azusa Pacific, he went 5-for-5 at the plate with three runs and four runs batted in... He collected his first extra-base hit against APU with a double... Knocked a hit in his first at-bat of the season against Cal Baptist on Feb. 7.

As a Freshman in 2012: Appeared in 15 games as a freshman and made three starts... Went 3-for-14 at the plate for a .214 average... Posted a 1.000 fielding percentage... Collected his first career RBI in the final inning of the 2012 season, place a pinch-hit single into the outfield to help the Broncos capture a road win over Cal State East Bay.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Don Antonio Lugo High School... Helped the Conquistadores to an overall record of 19-7 while the squad went 10-3 in conference play... Earned All-Mt. Baldy League First Team and All-CIF Second Team honors as a senior after batting .531 and collecting 26 runs batted in... In the classroom, he graduated with honors and was selected for a High Achievement award in social science.

Personal: Born May 5, 1993... Son of Mike and Carol Johnson... Has an older sister named Lyndsay... Kinesiology major... Enjoys fishing, hunting, going to the beach and hanging out with friends in his free time... Favorite pro athlete is Mike Trout and favorite pro teams are the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Los Angeles Lakers... Aspires to become a physical therapist.
