Biography

As a Junior in 2017:  Appeared in 20 games and tossed 27 innings... Posted the third best ERA at 3.33 and held opposing batters to a .206 average...Collected 14 strikeouts and 2 saves while going 3-3 out of the pen. 

As a Sophomore in 2016: Appeared in 25 games for the Green and Gold... Finished with a 6-2 season record and a 3.72 earned run average… Converted two saves… Pitched a total of 46 innings and allowed 24 runs,19 of them earned… Finished with 32 strikeouts.

UC Riverside: Made 10 appearances on the bump for the Highlanders... Pitched a total of 13 innings... Allowed 15 hits and 11 runs to score, eight of them earned... Racked up eight strikeouts with just five walks... Only one extra-base hit allowed... 5.54 earned run average.

High School: 2014 Graduate of Ayala High School in Chino Hills... Honored with a spot in the Bulldog Hall of Fame... Earned Sierra League Outstanding Senior Award... Was a three-year Sierra League Athletic Scholar honoree... Was Team Captain his Freshman Season.

Personal: Son of Peter and Sandy Beattie... Born 10/10/1996... Parents both attended Mt. San Antonio College... Father went on the attend Weber State... Has a sister Natalie... Father played in the minors for the St. Louis Cardinals, then returned to college and played football at Mt.SAC and Weber State... He enjoys lisening to music, hanging out with his friends, playing video games, eating, and anything that has to do with the sport of baseball... Favorite professional teams are the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakes, and Anaheim Ducks... Favorite professional athlete is Clayton Kershaw... Favorite movie is The Ballad of Ricky Bobby: Talladega Nights... Favoite food is both Mexican and Italian... Aspires to play baseball professionally and once baseball is finished to become a federal agent for the Department of Homeland Secuirty... Political Science major.
