As a Junior in 2010: Appeared in 43 games and earned 40 starts, 39 of which came in the designated hitter role... Patient hitter at the plate (26 walks) and makes contact (19 strikeouts)... Converted on four of five stolen base attempts... Finished third on the team in home runs (6)... Recorded 34 runs and 29 runs batted in, while going .293/.400/.460 at plate... Finished with a .306 average against right-handed pitchers... Registered an eight-game hitting streak between Feb. 21 and March 7, going 10-for-31 in that span... Recorded 10 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games.

At Diablo Valley: Team reached the state's Final Four... Won the Big 8 Conference... Team MVP, who  hit .401 with 27 doubles and 70 RBI... Earned All-American honors.

High School: A 2006 graduate of West High School, where he was named team captain as a senior... Earned all-league honors as a senior.

Personal: Born March 12, 1988... Son of Bobby and Diane Edwards... Psychology major... Has two brothers named Brad and Jace... Favorite athlete is Barry Bonds... Favorite pro teams are the Oakland Athletics, Golden State Warriors and the New York Jets... Enjoys hanging out with family and friends in his free time.
