Nick Weis enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cal Poly Pomona men’s basketball program in 2026-27.

Weis spent two years as a graduate assistant at Long Beach State, serving as the program’s video coordinator and assisting with player development. That experience led to opportunities to work in the NBA pre-draft process during each of the past two summers. He has also coached at the grassroots level with WolfPack Training Basketball, based in Huntington Beach.

Prior to beginning his career in athletics, Weis served four years in the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner. The Phoenix, Arizona, native earned a bachelor’s degree in sports business from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in sports management from Long Beach State.
