Biography
As a Junior in 2009-10: Appeared in 29 games with 11 starts for the NCAA champions… One of seven Broncos who averaged more than 20 minutes a game… Bothered by pinched nerve in his neck that kept him from playing 100 percent for a large portion of the season… Scored in double figures in six of seven games before sustaining injury… Missed five games… Arguably played at his best during the Broncos’ March drive to the national championship… Scored 11 points off the bench and grabbed six rebounds in 20 minutes in Elite Eight semifinal win over Bentley… Scored 10 points including his second 3-pointer of the season in title game vs. Indiana, Pa.
As a Sophomore in 2008-2009: Appeared in 33 games with 24 starts for the NCAA finalists… Named second-team All-CCAA… Named NCAA West Region All-Tournament… Finished 1st in CCAA in FG percentage (57.7 percent – 127-of-220)… Finished 11th in CCAA rebounding (5.5/game)… Fourth-leading scorer with 9.4/game… Team went 21-3 in games he started… Scored 18 points (both game highs) in wins at home Cal State Dominguez Hills and at San Francisco State… Vital source for CPP’s success in its final 18 games… Shot 61.7 percent from the floor in that span, capped by an 11-game winning streak and NCAA runner-up position… Scored in double figures in 11 of those 18 games and in all six NCAA Tournament games, averaging 13 ppg. in tourney play… Said CBS play-by-play analyst Tim Brando during CPP’s title game against Findlay: “The maturation of Tobias Jahn during CPP’s success is like watching a boy become a man.’’
As a Freshman in 2007-2008: Appeared in 28 games with 10 starts… Averaged 2.3 points and 2 rebounds a contest… Scored season-high 10 points in win over Humboldt State (1/25/08)… Grabbed season-best 10 rebounds in season-best 33 minutes vs. San Francisco State (11/30/07)… Led team with eight rebounds in win over CSULA (1/5/08)… Served redshirt season in 2006-2007.
High School: Was the District Most Valuable Player and earned All-State Private Schools honors while at Fort Worth Christian School… Team reached the Final Four… Named school’s Homecoming King... Prior to enrolling at Fort Worth Christian School, he attended Landrat-Gruber school in Germany and played for a club team there.
