Biography
2009: Standout junior season fo the Broncos... Earned second-team All-CCAA honors with 13th place finish, completing the 8,000 meter course at McKinleyville in 25:50.6... Finished 42nd at the NCAA West Regional (33:18.4 over 10,000 m)... Finished 5th at UCSD Triton Invite (32:18.7 over 10,000 m)... Ran 25:00 at Stanford and placed 52nd.
At College of the Canyons: Two-time all conference… Team was ranked first in California through much of his freshman season… Also earned All-Southern California honors as a sophomore and freshman…P ersonal best of 20:17 over a 4-mile course… Ran 25:33over 8,000 m… Ran on track team in only 2008… Ran 16:00 in the 5,000 and 32:30 in the 10,000.
At Canyon HS: Ran all four years in both cross country and track and field… Team reached CIF his sophomore and junior years… Qualified to CIF Finals individually as a senior… League champion on 2006 league title team… Personal bests in track include 9:49 in the 3200 and 4:39 in the 1600.
Personal: Son of Mike and Karen Kent… Business Management major… Enjoys biking in his spare moments… Oldest of two children.
