As a Sophomore in 2012: Appeared in 14 matches for the Broncos… Played a full 90 minutes in three of his five starts…Recorded an assist in a 2-2 tie on Oct. 19 against Cal State East Bay… Posted five shots throughout the year.

At Adams State: Served as the top striker for Adams State of the Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in 2011... Totaled 10 points on four goals and two assists... Made the best of his chances, landing 21 of his 36 shots on goal... Also performed well in the classroom, earning a spot on the RMAC All-Academic Team... Received a redshirt designation during the 2010 season.

High School: A 2010 graduate of Silver Creek High School... Ccollected All-Conference First Team and All-Area First Team honors while totaling nine goals and 10 assists as a senior... Also guided the Colorado Storm North Red club team to a state championship at the U17 level and the Elite 1 League Championship.

Personal: Son of Kathi Jo Walder and John Mercer... Has a younger sister named Anna... Construction Engineering Technology major...
