Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

As a Junior in 2015: Played in eight games for the Broncos with five starts before a season-ending injury... Tallied 524 minutes and a shot on goal...Part of the National Runners Up team that won the program's first-ever NCAA playoff game, West Region Title, advanced to the Elite Eight and the Final Four with a trip to Pensacola, Florida.

As a Sophomore in 2014: Played in 15 of the Broncos' 20 games and made starts in 14 of those... Selected to the NSCAA NCAA Division II All-Westt Region Third Team... An integral part of the CPP back line, helping to hold the opposition to just eight goals in his 15 games... Scored the game winning goal with a beautiful header against Cal State Stanislaus, enabling the Broncos to win 2-1... Part of the best team in program history... The team went 17-1-2 and finished their season after winning the CCAA Tournament Championship.  

As a Redshirt Freshman in 2013: Helped CPP's 2013 team set the program's single season record for goals against average at 0.85... Ranked second on the team in minutes played with 1,522... Tallied two assists, the first coming on Sept. 7 at Dominican in a 4-0 victory and the second one against Sonoma State in a 3-1 win.
 
As a Freshman in 2012: Did not compete in any matches in 2012 and received a redshirt designation.
 
High School: A 2012 graduate of Bonita High School... Helped bolster the backline for the Bearcats' boys' soccer team... Totaled three goals and two assists as a junior... Shined academically as well, receiving scholar-athlete status during his sophomore and junior campaigns... Played in 10 games at the U-17/18 level for the Arsenal FC academy.
 
Personal: Son of Miroslava and Felix Espinoza... One of his cousins, JonCarlo Nunez, competed in cross country for Cal Poly Pomona... Construction Engineering Technology major... Favorite type of food is his mother's homemade meals... Favorite movies are White Chicks and Rush Hour 1-3... Enjoys relaxing, adventuring, and hanging out with friends in his free time... Favorite pro athlete is Ronaldinho... Favorite pro teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and FC Barcelona... Aspires to make his success as a Project Manager.
