Biography

As a Sophomore in 2016: Appeared in 14 games for CPP...Assisted on the only goal in the Broncos' 1-0 win over Azusa Pacific.

As a Redshirt Freshman in 2015: Played in 17 of the Broncos' 23 games, including three starts, for a total of 521 minutes... Took seven shots... A member of the 2015 NCAA National Runners Up team which enjoyed the first NCAA postseason win in program history, first-ever West Region title, and first-ever trips to the Elite Eight and Final Four. 

As a Freshman in 2014: Did not play and received the redshirt designation.

High School: A 2014 graduate of Godinez High School... Senior year was named the Varsity MVP... Earned the Best Offensive Player Award and was named to All-league First Team... Received an invitation to the All-Star Game... Played for the Strikers Academy... Traveled to Northern Ireland for the Milk Cup... Earned a 3.0+ Award every year for his academic success... Earned the Legacy Award for Foreign Language.

Personal: Son of Mauricio Martinez and Laura Gutierrez... Has a brother Mauricio Jr... Favorite professional athlete is Cristiano Ronaldo... Favorite professional teams are Real Madrid and the Los Angeles Lakers... Enjoys listening to music, hanging out with his friends, playing Fifa, and buying shoes... Favorite movie is Goal...
