Biography
In 2014 Track & Field: Starting his Bronco track and field career, he placed third in the 5,000-meter at the CCAA Championships with a 15:00.15 mark… Also in the 5,000-meter, he set his personal record of 14:51.98 at the Ben Brown Invitational at CSUF… Recorded a 4:02.63 mark in the 1,500-meter at the Cal State L.A. Invitational.
In 2013 Cross Country: Put together an impressive freshman season, helping the Broncos capture an eighth-place finish at nationals for the program's top performance since 1997... Placed 75th nationally with a personal-best time of 31:51.7 and moved up nine spots through the final 5,000 meters of the race... At regionals, he finished 16th with a mark of 32:28.0 in his first 10,000-meter race... Received CCAA Freshman of the Year recognition as he finished 13th at the CCAA Championships with a time of 25:18.3.
High School: A 2013 graduate of Los Altos High School… Honored with a spot on the All-Hacienda League First Team and All-State Second Team…Ran a 4:25 in the 1600m at the CIF State Division III Finals to place15th… Finished 8th in the 3200m at the Southern Section Division III Championships with a time of 9:21… Captured the Hacienda League Championship in the 3200m race.
Personal: Son of Lucy and Robert Huizar… Business Administration major… Enjoys hanging out with friends, playing sports, listening to music, and watching sports on T.V in his spare time… Favorite pro athlete is Cristiano Ronaldo… Favorite sports teams are the St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Arsenal FC, and Real Madrid CF… Aspires to work as an investment banker in the future.
