In 2011 Track & Field: Earned a spot on the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic Team after maintaining a grade-point average above 3.40 through the 2010-11 school year... Competed in the 800-, 1,500- and 5,000-meter events through the 2011 season... Came close to notching a "B" provisional qualifying mark in the 1,500-meter race while recording a time of 4:39.38 on April 9 at Pomona Pitzer.

In 2010 Cross Country: Proved to be a key member of the women's cross country team that advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championships for the first time since 1985... At the national race in Louisville, Ky., she finished 120th with a time of 23:50.4... Her top 6,000-meter time on the season came at the CCAA Championships in Whittier, Calif., when she crossed the line in 22:36.7 to take 14th place overall... Selected as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic Honoree for maintaing a grade point average above 3.30.

At Santa Ana College: Named cross country's Athlete of the Year... Ran 18:30 over 5,000 meters... Owns a personal best time of 4:41 over 1,500 m... Earned her associates degree in Liberal Arts.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Preparatoria IV.

Personal: Daughter of Jose Zapata and Rosa Millan... Spanish major... Aspires to be a Spanish teacher... Enjoys reading, shopping, watching movies, going to the beach and hanging out with her niece and nephews in her free time... Favorite athlete is Michael Jordan.
