Ashley Musick enters her fourth year as the Associate Head Athletic Trainer at Cal Poly Pomona in 2025-26; she was hired in April 2022.

No stranger to the CCAA, Musick earned her undergraduate degree in 2009 and worked seven years at Cal State Dominguez Hills from 2012 to 2019, including four years as the Toros' head athletic trainer.  Most recently, she served as an athletic trainer at MiraCosta College since 2019.

While at MiraCosta for the last two and a half years, Musick supervised the healthcare needs for six intercollegiate teams, all while navigating the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges it brought with it.  In addition to developing safety and return-to-play protocols relating to COVID, she also implemented an electronic medical record system to benefit the athletic training needs of the student-athletes and the department as a whole.

Prior to her time at MiraCosta, Musick worked seven years as an athletic trainer at CCAA-foe Cal State Dominguez Hills, four years of which she was the head athletic trainer from 2015 to 2019.  She was in charge of the healthcare supervision for the 10 NCAA Division II intercollegiate teams at CSUDH, as well as developing policies and procedures related to concussions, EAPs, drug testing, mental health, and environmental safety measures, among others.

A native of southern California, Musick earned her master's degree in Athletic Training at California Baptist University, graduating with high honors after earning a bachelor's degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from CSUDH, during which she spent three athletics seasons as an Athletic Training intern as an undergrad.
