Biography
As a Junior in 2013: Co-captain of the women's track and field team during her junior season... Finished second at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships in the 100-meter hurdles to receive All-CCAA honors... Posted the team's best hurdles time while recording a "B" provisional national qualifying mark of 14.22... Also a member of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
As a Sophomore in 2012: Earned first place in the CCAA Championships with a showing of 14.07 in the 100-meter hurdles, while also recording most individual points of 10 and improving her “B” provisional standing… Posted the second-best 200-meter mark for the Broncos this season with a 25.58… Registered a personal best of 61.26 in the 400-meter… Also as a member of the Broncos’ 4x100 relay teams, placed 9th All-Time at Cal State L.A with a time of 48.26… Collected the All-Region distinction from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
As a Freshman in 2011: Starred in her freshman campaign, earning a spot at the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships in the 100-meter hurdles... Entered the national meet with the 13th-best 100-meter hurdles time, racing that event in 13.99 at the Cal State L.A. Last Chance Meet on May 14... At Turlock, Calif., against the nation's best, she finished 11th overall with a time of 14.03... Also a member of the Broncos' top 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams... Recorded the Broncos' top 200-meter mark of the season, crossing the line in 25.19 on May 14 at Cal State L.A... Received All-West Region distinction from the USTFCCCA... Over the summer, she also competed at the USA Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore.
High School: A 2010 graduate of Murrieta Valley High School... Captured the Southwestern League championship in the 100- and 300-meter hurdle events... Set the program record in the 100 hurdles (14.22) and also in the 4x400 relay... Received Most Valuable Player award for track in 2010... Finished in the CIF top four for both hurdle events... Earned a spot on the honor roll.
Personal: Daughter of Cordell and Tanya Corder... Father graduated from the University of La Verne and mother went to Cal Poly Pomona... Has an older brother named Corey who competed in track and field at Riverside Community College.. Communication major... Enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with friends and family in her free time... Favorite pro team are the San Diego Chargers and the USA Track and Field... Favorite athlete is Lolo Jones... Aspires to become a sports newscaster.
