Hannah Schaffer was named an assistant coach for Cal Poly Pomona Volleyball on August 1, 2025.
Schaffer brings over 10 years of Southern California coaching experience, including most recently serving as the head coach at Great Oak High School since 2022, as well as the head coach of Viper Volleyball since 2021. She also spent time as the head coach at Corona High School, Empower Volleyball Club, and 951 Elite Volleyball Club. Â
A former student-athlete at La Sierra University in Riverside from 2017-18, Schaffer’s teams went a combined 34-24 during her two seasons for the Golden Eagles, while also going an impressive 21-9 in Cal Pac games. Schaffer has earned multiple accolades across her playing and coaching career, including being a two-time varsity volleyball captain, three-time First Team All-League, two-time All-Tournament honoree, and was nominated as a 2024 All Star Coach.
The Menifee native graduated from La Sierra in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in English Education, after previously earning an associate’s degree in Child Development from Mt. San Jacinto College. Â
