Zoe Herrera enters her sixth season on the bench for the Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team and her fourth as an assistant coach in 2024 after serving as a program associate during her first two seasons.
During her three seasons as an assistant coach, the Broncos own a 69-19 (.784) overall record, while going 42-12 (.778) in CCAA games. The Broncos have also made three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, while winning their first CCAA Tournament title in 2022.
Arguably one of the best defenders in CPP volleyball history, Herrera was a four-year letterwinner for Hall of Fame coach Rosie Wegrich from 2012 to 2015 and a second-team All-CCAA selection as a senior. She is 10th all-time in program history appearing in 408 career sets, amassing a program-record 1,678 digs with the second-best reception percentage, a .945 clip. She holds the single-season digs record with 601 during her 2015 season campaign.
