Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Mason Holle enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball program in 2026-27.

Holle comes to Cal Poly Pomona after spending 10 seasons at Cal State LA, where he helped establish the Golden Eagles as one of the premier programs in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Widely regarded as one of the conference's top assistant coaches, Holle served as Cal State LA's lead recruiter while overseeing many of the program's day-to-day operations. His recruiting efforts and player development were instrumental in the Golden Eagles' sustained success, producing multiple All-Region performers, including Eche Okeke and Corey Cofield.

Holle played a key role in Cal State LA's historic 2023-24 campaign, when the Golden Eagles set a program record with 24 victories, captured the program's first CCAA Tournament championship, earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division II West Regional, hosted the NCAA West Regional, and finished No. 17 in the final NABC Coaches Poll.

Throughout his tenure, Holle helped guide the Golden Eagles to multiple CCAA Tournament appearances while developing championship-caliber talent and fostering success both on the court and in the classroom. During the 2024-25 season, his leadership helped Cal State LA earn a second consecutive CCAA Tournament berth despite significant adversity, marking the program's first back-to-back tournament appearances since 2019-20.

A graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, where he was a student-athlete, Holle began his coaching career at La Cañada High School before joining the Cal State LA staff. He earned a master's degree in sociology from Cal State LA in 2021.

Holle and his wife, Sydney, reside in Monrovia.
