Prior to joining Cal Poly Pomona, Ferris served as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at the University of La Verne from 2025-26. In that role, she supported athletic communications efforts across 18 sports while gaining experience in media relations, event management, and content creation.

A 2024 graduate of the University of La Verne, Ferris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations after transferring from Mt. San Antonio College. Her work earned multiple honors, including a first-place award for her magazine feature, "Telling the Story of President Nixon," and a second-place award in sports writing. Ferris was also recognized as the 2024 Public Relations Student of the Year and graduated with both departmental and university honors.

Outside of her work with the Leopards, Ferris interned as a Baseball Operations Assistant with the Arroyo Seco Saints of the California Collegiate League. Her responsibilities included coordinating pregame and postgame operations, managing in-game stadium activities, serving as a liaison between the Saints and visiting teams, coordinating team transportation and assisting with various administrative duties. She also contributed as a broadcaster and supported the organization's general manager with day-to-day operations.

Ferris is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management and Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Development at the University of La Verne. She is an avid sports fan and spends her free time watching the Los Angeles Angels and her other favorite teams.
