Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Highlighted by an impressive hammer throw performance from Andrew Durham, the Cal Poly Pomona men's track and field team excelled Saturday and Sunday at the Steve Scott Invitational held at UC Irvine.

A senior from Chico, Durham finished fourth in the hammer throw event Saturday with a mark of 185-0. That distance puts him in fourth all-time in the Broncos' program record book and in a tie for fourth on this season's California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) leaderboard. Durham's teammate, Vincent Huitt, is also in the conference's top four for the same event.
